14 games are exactly the same as the rest of the division, the 2 affected by how we placed is a minor difference/ we get Carolina and GB next year the turds get the saints and bears, not a big difference. Also, you never know how teams come out next year, a lot of ones went to last place in a year, like the skins and Texans. Schedule is just a crapshoot.

I hear ya. I was nine months old(alive but too darn young to remember anything about it) when they won their last championship so I can definitely relate.

I'm also a diehard WVU fan so I have so much scar tissue on my heart at this point that you can't truly hurt me anymore.

I dunno if that's a reason to be less optimistic next year. We lost Maclin and Jason Phillips before the season started, injuries weren't a total non-factor.

Also, another offseason under Chip Kelly means the roster will be better shaped to what he wants. That SHOULD mean better depth if we do experience injuries. If we lost Kendricks, Ryans or Barwin this season we would have been been fucked. This offseason we can draft to prevent us from being quite so fucked if any of those guys go down.

It's tough to make the case that this team is destined to fare worse next year.
