  • That game was lost on the LOS

They pushed the defense around and ran it ... the Eagles not so much.

Too bad, because the defense, despite getting punked up front, turned them over and kept them off the board in the first half.

If the offense could have established the run and scored more early, they could have taken the Saints out of their run game.

Still, despite not controlling the game like they could have, Foles produced in crunch time.

The special teams obviously didn't ... with that short field fuck up right after.

Exactly. Win in the trenches you win more often than not.

At least FF lost in historic fashion. If they won and we lost on. Game ending FG i would probably have hung myself with a lamp cord.

Yeah those 4th and one conversions were embarrassing

Slag, couldn't have said it better myself, The whole first half they tried to run the ball an could not establish it, even in the 4th quarter which has been their strong suite, they just could not dictate the line of play enough to light up the running game.

With that said, there were a couple of key misses at crucial times that would have changed the game.

As far as Foles holding onto the ball, he will learn, he will get better in relation to not taking the sacks and the IT groundings.

BTW, I know this is a stretch, but at the 2;32 mark, with the ball on 40 yards from goal, and it was pretty obvious at that point that the D could not stop them from getting into FG range.

Did anyone else think that maybe, the D should have just let them run it in and gave Foles the ball back with 2;20 on the clock and two timeouts left?

How many times were they in second and 2 or 3 after a first down run? ALL FUCKING NIGHT.

Yup... and the eagles running game was just not there.

You could see it by the second quarter and they never stopped it, they would line up with two Te's and pound the ball against 3 down linemen. That's 7 against 3 and then they were on the Lbs and a 4-7 yd gain almost every time.

2nd and 11 on the last drive and the saints slammed the ball right down the middle of the d. Shut that play down and it's third and long.
