  • How many believed the game was over at 20-7??

This young QB, rookies coach, and young team kept it going.....that to me was something real encouraging.

It was great to see a team have fight, could learn and adjust on the fly, and excel well beyond expectations.

The Turds in the East division have got to know they will be seeing the winged helmets at the top again next year.

We have got our act together, they are still trying to find their asses.

But I really enjoyed this year. We have a competent coach, and a great offense. Get that defense fixed, and I think we're much better off.

I am infinitely more optimistic about this team than I was after the last two one-and-done playoff experiences.

Looking forward to next year, knowing they will improve, yea the loss stings, but they were outplayed and to a degree beat themselves, but they never gave up trying, I can live with that.

          You're too level-headed

          I hate you

Unlike in year's past, we have optimism since we f-i-n-a-l-l-y have a coach who can think on the fly and learns from his mistakes. Yeah, this loss hurts now but the future looks very bright.

I definitely wasnt. I did have a sinking feeling of "fuck, we scored way too quickly" when Ertz got his TD.

I really wanted them to just let the saints score and get the ball back. No worse way to lose than the slow, painful clock eating one where the opponent has a chip shot FG that leaves zeros on the clock. Such a shitty ending.

I Admit I Was On The Verge

However good common sense took over as I remembered four touchdowns in the fourth quarter of a rather entertaining game a few short weeks ago.

In retrospect, as I remember the horrible sight of the football splitting the uprights with no time left, there's a part of me that almost wishes it HAD been a blowout. Then it would be easier to accept that Cooper's "Ooops" and that hopefully soon-to-ex-Eagle kicker's missed field goal and pitiful kickoffs wouldn't have made any difference.

Instead, we'll have a whole year to sit back and say, "If only..."
