  • NFC East is going to be interesting next year

and beyond. You have I believe your QB of the future. His year was amazing. Kelley seems to know how to use McCoy, gives him the ball a lot. I can see the Eagles and Foles being a tough play for many years to come.

With Gilbride gone, I think the Giants will recover, albeit how much is unknown. I think we are 2-3 years away from making it back to the post season. We have a lot of gaps to address, but Eli will have a better year. I don't see RG3 making it beyond another few years;the kid is too small and got killed this year. Dallas with Garrett as coach is not going to do too much, although with Romo you never know. He is a good QB overall. I really thought you guys were going to go deep into the playoffs this year. Excellent QB play, excellent RB, steady defense, I thought this was your year for sure. A few tweaks to your personnel, another year in Kelley's offense, your team will (unfortunately) get better. My opinion from the outside.

As long as Snyder and Jones own those teams

..he has backed off, but the meddling still is going on. The love affair, being "one of the boys" with the players is one of the things helping create the tension with Shanahan.

Snyders ego will not allow him to stay away.

The Gmen have work to do, Gilbride going might help, but Eli showed some serious flaws....got to hope Coughlin can retain respectability in the locker room.

        Big questions going forward.

Another slow or weak start could test the patience of everyone and spell a coach search for NY.

          Agree on all points except

Except TC never lost the locker room. Even though we played a lot of sub par QBs, he went 7-3 after starting 0-6. TC probably has 1-2 more years then will retire. Eli really pissed me off this year. Many of his INTs were his stupid receivers' fault, still his play was absolutely pathetic. But, he gets a pass for this year based on what he's done to this point. The Gmen have gaps in the OL, LBs, CBs, RB, maybe WR. It will take 2-3 before we are competitive again.

Coughlin looks and acts noticeably older on the sidelines, so he might be feeling it. I'm guessing he's already starting to plan his retirement.

I thought the biggest difference in the Giants this year was the running game--I don't remember a Giants team that couldn't run the ball. That, along with the unexpectedly high number of INTs probably indicates o-line issues.

I'm expecting there will be some quick improvement that makes them at least NFC East competitive again (unfortunately).

Snyder is too much of a fan boy growing up idolizing the team. It would be like any member of igglephans earning a shitload of money and buying the Eagles. How could you not meddle even when you know it's the wrong thing to do? Fans want to cut a player after a bad game. Imagine if they were the owner. That's what Washington deals with. A fanboy owner.

Jerry Jones is the new Al Davis. His team will not be relevant again until he passes.

So the NFC East will be up to the Giants and Eagles for the foreseeable.

I don't think it will be as interesting as you think. The Cowboys have Jerry Jones and as long a that happens they go nowhere. The Redskins are in salary cap hell and RGIII is not for long. The Giants are old and have no depth and Eli looked like the CFL MVP runner up this year. The Eagles need help on D for sure and special teams, namely a kicker. They are the most talented team in the division and have youth on their side. It will be a few years before the East catches up.

I couldn't agree more. The Skins are pretty-much screwed for quite awhile as they mortgaged their future to get RGIII and I don't see him lasting too awfully long anyway at this point. The Cowboys will always be what they are with Jerruh calling the shots and the Giants are just plain old.

                    DT

Right on, our OL was awful, had close to 10 different starting OL combinations. RB had 5 different starting combos. We have a lot of holes to fill. TC does look to be a little older. His family is very important to him and his brother dying unexpectedly last year may have changed his perspective. Elis INTs were largely but not entirely his fault. Gillbride's offense required the WRs and QBs running alternate, secondary routes at the time the ball was snapped. Throughout the year, WRs went left, and Eli threw right. Fucking frustrating. Eagles have Foles now, and with McCoys durability, have a bright future (damn

                      Well...

That's fine with me. Although the Cowboys have a lot of talent.

                        Redskins will be back.

RG3 loses the brace and will finally have an off season to improve himself as a player. (rookie=lockout and then rehabilitated knee in his second season)

We will be back to kicking your asses.

You and Ken may be right

but I think that will depend how we draft. Reese has had some exceptional drafts and some really "WTF" picks. If he doesn't draft well, we will be looking up for the next 2-3 years. We do have some house cleaning to do. If we get a solid OC, and Eli rebounds, with a good draft we can at least be competitive and not fall 0-6 at the beginning of the year. I guess we'll have to see though.

                            Hes an amazing talent

but one hit away from ending up in the hospital. Eli towers over him and in this division you'd better be able to take a hit. I think he also said some stupid things this year publicly so he needs to keep certain comments out of the media. He's good for football, and our division but I can't see him necessarily having a long career in our division.

Either you've posted this twice or I just read this thread twice by accident, but this isn't accurate. The Skins aren't in cap hell at all. The bullshit penalty is done after this season, so the Skins have an extra 18 million dollars of available space. That's not to say they won't blow it like they have in the past, but they have it available. So long as they extend Trent Williams, I'll be happy. Also, a free safety who isn't in constant danger of being fined or suspended would be nice, and probably an offensive guard, either side.
