  • In Conclusion.......

This was a successful season by any measurement. the Chipmeister inherited a dysfunctional team with less than average overall talent. At the end, they were playing competitive ball and believed in themselves. He should be in the coach of the year discussion. Don't know if they give out awards to asst coaches but Davis did the best job in the league with this bunch on defense. There are holes to be filled ..especially the DBs but what he did with the group he was handed is nothing short of brilliant.

This was a year that will not be repeated. Their schedule was weak. They played 4 playoff teams..(5 if you include the Saunts) lost to 3/4 of them and beat a team without their SB winning QB. They also remained injury free except for one very important injury ....Vick. That injury created a star.

As I have reported here, next year will be Chipsters final season. He will have the good fortune of playing in the leagues weakest division. 8 wins may be enough to repeat as NFC EAST champs. Had the NCAA Not handed down the suspension, he would be heading to Texas today. The only real question that. Matters is will when the Eagles ever win a championship? If Howie is responsible for selecting the next HC, the answer is probably, not very soon.
