come on man. this season was nothing short of a huge success.

he did great job with the scraps he was left. won the NFC East, beat dallas in week 17 for division title. 10 wins with a team that had 4 last year? give this guy 2 offseasons to build this team with more of his players and i'll see you on broad street in knee deep confetti.

scraps? you many first time coaches get the best rb in the league (or second if you count AP), a upper echelon receiver, the best LT in the game, an all pro LG. Last year's team was 4-12 because of the injuries, not because lack of talent. what is concerning for the eagles is that many people think they are young. They are not. Peters and Mathis are going to be 32 or 33 (34 and 35 is like the upper limit for an OL), Jackson and McCoy are in their primes right now and the declines happen at their position in the late twenties. so, they probably have two good years left.

i noticed you didn't mention any kick ass defensive guys. because there weren't any.

injuries on the OL definitely destroyed last year's team, no question. staying healthy this year was a huge reason we made the playoffs. but, that team last year quit on Reid and the depth that Kelly inherited is non existent on the defensive side of the ball. Kelly/Roseman brought in a shitload of free agents and for once that philosophy worked. Barwin, both CB's, Punter were all huge upgrades over the stiffs that FF had brought here. FF would have thought we were good there and stayed the course.

really brought in good players that were better than the stiffs? The Eagles were last in pass defense. Last. Some great pickups.

Most of the reason why the Eagles are successful is Tom Heckert. Peters, McCoy, Jackson, Celek all his guys.

The Eagles did not beat one good team besides the Cardinals and that game was marred by some horrendous officiating. The Saints had lost four games on the road in a row, including to Geno Smith and Kellen Clemens, they were killed by Clemens, in fact.

Face the truth. The Eagles took advantage of a soft schedule and with next year's schedule are probably closer to an 8 win team than a 10 win team.

last in pass defense? Um, who gives a fuck? how were we in scoring defense compared to last year? how were we in turnover margin?

Are you trying to tell me barwin, fletcher, and cary williams weren't upgrades and better players over Bbambi, DRC, and whoever the hell barwin replaced?

face the truth that this team did a 180 this year not only becuase they stayed healthy but because they now have a coach who knows his ass from first base, can think on his feet, and change his game plan on the fly if something isn't working.

i haven't looked at next year's schedule but history shows you never know from 1 year to the next what your true 'strength of schedule' is. teams go from good to shitty, shitty to good, injuries happen, etc. no way to predict anything on 1/6/14 about 2014's opponent strength. it's all a guess at this point. there is roster churn, draft picks, etc to be done. we won't be the same team next year and neither will anyone else.

eagles will def be looking at a couple of young OL though, i agree. getting older at some spots and herremans was a mess all year and has to go.

to say that Chip Kelly is a better coach than Andy Reid at this point can be the most idiotic statement i have ever heard. maybe down the road in five years he will be, who know. but, given Andy Reid's body of work in this league, your comments are pure insanity. the reason your scoring defense was better was because you were playing backup qbs all year. scott tolzien, stafford in the snow, mike glennon, kyle orton, a busted rg iii twice. you need to analyze the evidence without a hatred of the prior regime.

Last in pass defense, lol. You mean the team that saw the most passing attempts in 20 years against them gave up the most yards? How many times were the Eagles up two touchdowns in the second half trying to kill the clock while the other team was throwing it all over trying to get in the game? Williams and Fletcher are fucking light years ahead of the dream cbs. What Kelly did was a monumental fucking job and he deserves a fucking medal. They were -12 in turnovers in '12 and -14 in '11. They were plus 12 this year and tied for second in the nfc only because Matt Barkley went full eli. Kelly's scheme makes these players even better, unless you really thought Foles was a 29 td - 2 int guy in FF's system. They are a team with huge holes and they were still pulling off some wins.

At 7-9, Chip would have gotten a pass from me.

andy reid's success was 95% mcnabb in his prime and Jim Johnson's defense.

                      he's a fraud

And he took a 2-14 team to 11 wins and the playoffs (which he would have won if his team did not have about 10 injuries in the game) because he went out and got Alex Smith. Do you guys listen to yourselves?

Reid also had 6 pro bowlers from the previous year and a 1st pick in the draft.

No, Andy took a 9-0 team and made them a 2-6 wild card loser.

If Reid sucks so much, surely you guys will be willing to guarantee that he misses the playoffs next year and Kelly makes them, then?

Why are you homos such cowards?

It's one thing to be a coward in real life, but you guys are actually cowards on your own little internet message board. I'm still laughing my balls off about how gay you all looked at your "gayte". I mean, I expected you to look like a bunch of homos but you really do manage to put the "gay" in "gayte". Well done, fellas.
