  • Article On Resigning Cooper

For the right price, I'd bring him back, but if someone does offer him a bigger deal, I think they can make due.

    Sounds about right

...guess we will see how bad he really "wants to stay in Philly".

Reasonable price keep him, if not, best of luck dude.

A possible linchpin would be if DJ starts to make more noise about his $$$, and things break down then the returning WR group could be hurting.

    1) DJ pissed off and playing like a bitch/holding out
    2) Cooper gone.
    3) Maclin gone or returning yet again from injury
    4) Avant getting looong in the tooth and not bringing a lot of pop.

    Choices choices.

well, it also depends on who they release or restructure.

getting rid of cole and herramans could open up some cap...but replacing them is a whole other story.

        Pay him. now.

They would be absolute morons not to after that season. Let Maclin walk. He is injury prone.

This guy who wrote the article

lists Avant, Benn, and Brad Smith as legimate replacements? Really? Benn has never been able to stay healthy, Avant has never been any more than serviceable, and Brad Smith is not a receiver. One of you Coop haters must have paid this dude off to write this mess.

Missing 3 games in 2011 is injury prone?

Before this year, Maclin played in 59 of his possible 64 career games.

So he wasn't gimpy in games and needed to come out? Where is that stat at? I am sure that isn't on espn.com...I saw him come up gimpy plenty since 2011.

He might not be injury prone and might not miss alot of games due to injury but the guy is soft as a marshmellow and a bit of a pu$$y

None of the stats that Cooper put up this year are better than Maclin's career highs and Maclin has done it consistently.

"Soft" Jeremy Maclin runs circles around Riley Cooper as a wide receiver.

Same thing the skins said about RGKnee after his injury...Its just a personal opinion, but you never know how someone will bounce back from ACL tears...

RGIII rushed back earlier than the doctors wanted. Maclin is on the right timeframe.

Tearing a knee isn't a kiss of death anymore. You find more players that come back from knee injuries and succeed than those that fail.

Look, you guys love Cooper, I get it. We all better just pray the Eagles don't love him as blindly or else we could have a really bad contract on our hands.

I know they have made strides with ACL tears(see Adrian Peterson) but there are also failures like RGIII, just depends on the person's training regiments one should think.
