  • Meanwhile, Cleveland is still without a head coach

    Stay strong Joe!
500 internet fights, that's the number I figured when I first joined igglephans. 500 internet fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate internet-tough guy. You need them for experience, to develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then...after...you realize that's what you are.

read that they are willing to do whatever in cleveland to get johnny football. Starting to sort of not hate johnny football anymore....BUT...he goes to cleveland and he has no shot.

you could give him jerry rice in his prime with josh gordon and anthony munoz at left tackle and he'll still end up being poop.

I think they are waiting for Denver's OC, but dude is about to tell Cleveland to go to hell.

I said during the game yesterday that the OC for Denver would have to be nuts to take that job.

I get striking while the iron is hot, but we all know that offense is going to continue to put up points as long as Lord Peyton is there, so this guy's rep will be fine if he sticks around another year.

Why jump at the Browns job where you have no chance of ever winning. If it was me, I'd let the Fivehead continue to make me $$$ and tell Joe to go to Hell.

This job is better than people think. Weak division and a sky high draft pick.

They have a good D and Gordon is a beast. Cameron flashed early in the year. They do have the high pick and the Colts pick. In theory, it should be a good job, but I just think it's a paper "good job" and a real world powder keg.

First, if they really are as high on Manziel as is being reported, there's the first negative of the job.

Second, Gordon is one wrong move away from being out for a long time. That makes that offense look a lot different.

Lastly, Banner is doing his Banner thing out there.

Hey, maybe someone could take the job and all makes them a winning team, but I just think they have too many hurdles to jump over, especially if they add another by taking Manziel that high.

Giving a coach one year before he gets shitcanned was crazy. I wouldn't want to be given one year as HC.

And ownership that is willing to let you build the program entirely from the ground up in a year.

So far, every candidate has called Chudzinski to ask about Banner/Lombardi, and I'd imagine that's driving people away as well. You rarely get 2nd chances to be a HC in the NFL and there's no way any coach who believes in himself would throw his career away and take that job. It's a death sentence.

Gase (Broncos OC) turned them down. Cleveland being Cleveland, with a helping hand from Joe.
To run with the big dogs you have to be a big dog, dumb fuck.

And you know whoever they hire will have been their "top choice all along."
