      Haha thought about it.. jk

But really what ever it takes to break up "Big Cable" I am for it! Pay $100 + a month for 500+ channels I don't even watch

Just let me a la carte my 10-15 channels already

$100 for just TV, or TV and Internet?

If you're doing $100 for both, you're doing pretty well. My contract (doing $90/month for TV/Internet) expires in May, and I'm hoping I can talk them into a decent deal, because switching to anything else will be well over $150/month after the promo window closes.

Like you said, I'm not willing to fork out that much for channels I don't even watch.

With Verizon FiOS at least you can make secondary accounts that don't allow access to your billing - I give that to my friends so they can use HBO.

All HBO requires is a Comcast email address. I've made them for me wife, for the kids, and yes...one for the dog (the "house" account for things like Pandora and Netflix).

All cable/Dsl/Fios providers have retention departments, they do not want to loose you. My wife has been doing it for years and we usually get a good price and Directv gives me the nfl package for free.

Yeah, but Uverse's department was a joke. My bill jumped from $70 to $145, and the best they'd do was $130. For the number of channels I was getting the offer passed me off more than the bill.

No 100+ is more like $175 for internet and cable

Are you still using Sling Box? I need to do something about this I am tired of paying for shit I don't watch

Not sure if it is true, but I heard Canada is introducing legislation that is making cable companies offer channels a la carte

So you only want to pay for things you want to watch, except for when you can steal it?

I am not stealing anything. I have been paying thru the nose to "cable" companies for years faithfully.

Just saying the CEO of HBO is ok with sharing login information, I think more people should do it because it only hurts the cable companies.

The current system is BS, where else do you pay for a ton of shit that you don't even use?

Ok, i'm gonna make this thread go nuclear...

Imagine if they tried to run healthcare that way. Oh wait...

Pfft you want to compare health care reform with cable companies price gouging their consumers?

So you are an uninsured male in your 20s who broke a leg doing whatever, you carry no insurance but a hospital can not refuse you service, who foots that bill?

You are not paying for Medical Essential Benefits, if anything with MORE people paying your rates should go down in the next year or so...

                            This is not even comparable

i'm pretty sure that ps4 has a sunday ticket app(and ps3 had one too). it's not quite the same as an online package, which the NFL, MLB, and NBA already have. but it does enable one to get rid of cable.
