Just saw the harlem globetrotters are coming here. i know red's too old now to travel but that would have been cool to meet him.

...watch the way the Generals play. Fundamentally sound. Un fortunately right now its 80 percent show and 20 percent basketball. The Trotters were recently sold and were hoping for a return to a more traditional Trotters show but we'll see.

as i read through your masterpiece that was one constant that always stuck with me:

My earliest memories of the trotters always seemed like nothing but a clown show with no real basketball.

it was hard to envision them playing serious ball vs the generals at any point in time.

Saw the Globetrotters years ago, went thinking it was a big joke. And it is, but man, I had a blast.
