  • Not trying to stir up QB BS

but if you are watching the Senior Bowl, a guy to keep an eye on is Virginia Tech's Thomas.

6-5, strong arm, some mobility, but flawed mechanics.

To me, that's the kind of guy you want in the NFL Chip Kelly offense if you are looking for a developmental prospect.

Nobody really knows where he may be drafted, but I think he fits the mold better than Barkley. I wouldn't bitch if he was picked in rounds 3-5.

Too many pressing needs to be drafting a QB rounds 1- 4 imo.

Id be fine with him in the 5th...not sooner for me, personally.

        I think the needs argument

may be getting phased out in the Kelly/Howie Area. But I don't think it's a huge problem if a QB is drafted earlier than Round 5.

There aren't many of us who will say that drafting Ertz in round 2 hurt the Eagles last year, and probably sets them up fairly nicely for coming seasons at the position in the way Kelly uses it. Even though we would have preferred some of the other positions there.

The only argument for drafting for need this year is that mess at safety. Someone has to be drafted relatively early to give appropriate depth at the position. No more Coleman-type 7th rounders that end up making starts.

As someone who watched him play frequently, not in a million years. Flawed mechanics is one thing, but he produces at least 3 or 4 absolutely horrible plays a game. My tech friends loathe his game . Big, strong, and really dumb.
To run with the big dogs you have to be a big dog, dumb fuck.

He is mobile though, and great in short yardage.

What's his time in the cone drill?

And how does he look throwing in shorts?
John Erlichman, one of President Richard Nixon's closest aides, has admitted America's "War on Drugs" was a hoax designed to vilify and disrupt "the antiwar left and black people" when it was launched in 1971.

So, you're saying he is Tim Tebow's long lost brother?

That sentence is confusing as hell. Are you saying you think Wolff is the better prospect or Clinton-Dix is the better prospect?

EHHHHHH... Logan Thomas is bad...... Really really bad. Yea he has potential but just about every tech fan couldn't stand him because he makes poor decisions and is not nearly accurate enough. He's athletic as hell so he could maybe play TE or something

If Foles has a complete meltdown and plays every game next year like he did in the first Dallas game, he will still be a hero in my eyes because his season this year saved the team from biting on one of the guys that's coming out this year.

After Mariota went back, I didn't see one QB outside of Bridgewater that is worth a damn. I know this Bortles is high on a lot of lists, but I just don't see it with him. The rest blow.

I don't see one QB I'd want outside of manziel.

Thankfully we don't have to blow a high pick on a QB.

I'm not sold on Mariota either. You have to be able to throw in the NFL. Not sure he will be able to do that.

He's rated 13 out of 156 QBs. Rank 256/3283 Projected 7rd-FA Stock. He will never be the BPA on anyones board. If a team drafts him I doubt it will be to play QB more likely as a project at WR.

                              Accuracy

The primary thing that Thomas will have to work on before the draft is his accuracy. Watching him throw the ball can be uncomfortable at times and he tends to badly miss his targets more than a Virginia Tech fan would want him to.

If you take all of the quarterbacks in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) this season and rank them in terms of completion percentage, Thomas would rank No. 108.

                              Yes, No. 108.

At 52.6 percent success when tossing the ball, it puts him behind underwhelming quarterbacks such as Tanner Price of Wake Forest and Chase Rettig of Boston College, and that's just in Thomas's own conference of the ACC.

He doesn't make his best throws while under pressure the way that some of the higher-level NFL quarterbacks like Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady or Robert Griffin III do. He appears frazzled as soon as one player gets past the line of scrimmage.

He'll have to learn how to stay calm under pressure, step up into the pocket and deliver an accurate strike. Right now, he is just too inconsistent to be an immediate NFL starter.
