I've read on a couple sights that he could be a cap casualty. Over the cap.com says that the trade for him 2 years ago did t work out.

Am I missing something?

I thought Ryans has been borderline great since he's been here. Played at a pro bowl level. Maybe I'm bias.

Apparently, the Eagles can either pay Demeco $6.8 million or walk away with no cap hit. It's a tough decision but these situations usually lead toward a restructured contract. I wouldn't worry about him being cut outright simply because there is no market for him anywhere near $6.8 mill.

He was super against the run and he had some plays in the passing game. But, he also was a liability in coverage. In the Saints game, he lost track of TE Ben Watson that led to a 27 yard catch that led the the Saints TD that put them ahead 13-7. Same with the Cowboys game. They'll probably ask him to take a pay cut. If not, there's a couple of inside backers in Goode, who played well when called upon and Knott--they need to see what he has. Otherwise it'll be ILB on draft day.

Hopefully The Boy Wonder will have a slightly better approach to these situations than Ratface.

On top of everything Ryans is the spoken leader of the defense and losing him in the middle would be a huge loss.
