It's funny to hear Americans mock another countries legal system considering America has the largest prison population in the world. Murderer needs to be on the first flight to Italy to do her time.

Apparently, you can keep going back to court in Italy until you find a jury that will convict. I think it's the best of seven. Maybe she will do better when the next two trials are on her home court. This trial was a joke. It would have never gone to trial in any country with a legal system that demands that the prosecutors submit actual evidence. Because there was none.

Strangest thing about this is the media coverage in he US vs Europe(UK and Italy to be specific.) Its like they are two wildly different cases.
Unless we want to start an extradition war and break a few treaties, we have to send her to Italy.

You think American double jeopardy laws mean anything to Italian courts? We have treaties that would have to be shredded and this would make all of our future requests for extraditions a joke.
