    Resigning Donnie Jones...

Agreed. They've suffered through enough shitty punters since Landeta left.

I saw last night a little known NFL rule that any player on a one year contract cannot be signed before FA starts, so no matter what, Donnie Longball is hitting the market.

The names I'm interested in are Jones, Byrd, Ward and Jason Worilds from Pittsburgh. He only started 11 games, didn't play a huge number of snaps and had 8 sacks. He wants to be a full-time starter and could be the 3-4 rush OLB the Eagles need.

I googled it (couldn't find anything on wikipedia, obviously). All i could find was some madden stuff. It's not that I don't believe you, it's that I've never heard of this...probably a weird CBA thing that rarely comes up anyway

          .
@lawlornfl: Jones can't re-sign until FA begins. Players who came to team on a 1-yr deal must wait for FA to start. Lesser known rule.

If Jones wants to stay in Philly at all...

Then he will. I wouldn't worry about a punter getting an overwhelming contract offer. The market for him will be similar to last year's. Hope he stays, but Im not worried about it.
