Really nothing more to say you dont get it
The fact that you are not "staunch" in support but you dont oppose the name pretty much puts you on the support side of the aisle. Its kind of hard to believe that anyone who freely admits to loving the song and the logo would not support the name. The fact that in YOUR eyes the logo is less offensive to Chief Wahoo is the very definition of damning with faint praise. Im white just like you are.
The reason we both are not OK with the N word is because it is a slur. The reason it is a slur is because it offends blacks. The R word offends native americans. Therefore it is a slur. Does the fact that you could probably find blacks who say the n word does not offend them make the word any less of a slur? NO.
