You can not criticize people who criticize food stamp recipients unless you yourself receive food stamps. - its the rules authored by the board political leadership/snarkpolice.

A Food Stamp Story!

I was laid off a long time ago, living in NJ, I qualified for Food Stamps, back when they were actual stamps, could only buy food, and nothing imported. Couldn't buy 3 Diamonds Tuna, or canned Corn beef Imported etc.

I got a job, and had a new book of stamps, I took the back to the welfare office and they refused to take them back, They said "you have bills to pay etc. keep them."

When I got my 1st paycheck, I decided to celebrate, went to the grocery store got Filet Mignons, and Lobster Tails, and paid for them with the food stamps. The woman in line behind me, with two kids and a cart full of Hamburger Helper's, had apoplexy and cussed me out royally.

I was shopping alone with the food stamps, because my wife wouldn't go with me, for fear one of her friends would see her using food stamps.

So I am a2ware of the need, but I also see the rampant abuse also!
