    Would you have kept your mouth closed

    and taken the first or second round money and hid your lifestyle or


    came out of the closet and deal with all the shit thats going to come with that and make less money. But atleast you are playing on your terms.
    500 internet fights, that's the number I figured when I first joined igglephans. 500 internet fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate internet-tough guy. You need them for experience, to develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then...after...you realize that's what you are.

    Where are you getting first or second round? I'm seeing late round or not drafted.

    He's in the goldilocks zone for coming out. As an SEC player of the year, the climate is jusssst right for coming out.

      I'd like to say the 2nd one but I know deep down I'm probably only going that route if my agent is promising me i'll more than make that money back in off the field endorsements.

      Otherwise i'm sure i'd hide it like Jame Gumb hides his junk during the tuck dance.

        I think he played it smart. Once he made the decision to come out to his team before the season, he had to make it public before the draft. If he tried to keep it hidden and it came out mid-season, he'd probably be completely alienated.

        As long as he can play, he'll be fine. If Manti T'eo is still on a roster, this guy has every chance.

            Wasn't sure about his draft status prior to this, but it still works for my scenario.

              I don't think it was to be an attention whore, the media already knew about it, he just wanted to tell his side before it leaked out.

                      He didn't hide his lifestyle. His college teammates all knew as he came out to them last year. It was going to break sooner or later.

                          He was graded at 3rd or 4th round before this.

                          Of course by draft day ESPN will be telling us he was graded at first round and homophobes didnt want to draft him.

                            I also mentioned later on in this very thread that he told his team last year and that the media already knew.

                              Actually, he's not doing "hey look at me, I'm gay" at all.

                              He's saying "It's going to be leaked after these GMs ask me on the combines, so might as well get it out on my terms instead of hearing whispers around the locker room and media"
