I was not finding harls intolerant of religion.

I saw him giving a pass on the hypocrisy of those who mock Tebow for Tebowing (not shitty passing) yet demand tolerance and sensitivity to gays (Sam).

You want to define that as me calling him intolerant ... fine, have at it.

As I posted elsewhere ... I find it interesting that some here took the simple notion of equal respect for civil rights as an invitation to make distinctions.

Take a Chill Pill my brothuh! My perception is that you are crying for a world in which all civil rights are equal. Slagtopia. Doesn't exist and won't.

Tebow being mocked for Tebowing is an after effect. The main reason he's mocked is because he's not good at football. The trickle down effect is that anything that can be used to identify him gets mocked as well. When the most significant aspect a player has brought to the game is kneeling down but his airtime on ESPN exceeds that of any other player in the league - he's going to get mocked. Not his religion - him and the people that have subscribed to his cult of personality for being a sideshow more than a relevant football player.

That's not intolerance. And it's nothing like Michael Sam and the discussion that he should not be penalized for non-football reasons whereas Tebow was undeservedly lauded for them.

You said "no one mocked Tebow's religiosity"

Then you amended it to "the media". Whatever. What I posted is blatantly mocking his religiosity, and that of his fans.

Regarding Warner or Dawkins, I have no idea. I never made any claims regarding them.

Yeah I disagree. It's mocking his fans lack of football knowledge
You have NO IDEA? Really. I think you have an idea.

It's ok..We can agree to disagree.

Oh please, did you even read it?

              "Tebow’s lunatic-fringe cultists"
"Football logic means nothing to these people, who think their man is actually channeling some divine power."
"then there’s the scary prospect of the Tebow holy-rollers dressed in hunting camouflage"
"The crazed, revival-tent atmosphere of the Tebow circus would eat him alive, even in a city far removed from rural religious primitivism."

There's even more, I got tired of cut-and-pasting.

I read it...This was the point of the article:

"You’re telling me, then, I should trade a draft pick for a quarterback who can’t throw, can’t run anything but a dumbed-down college offense (which means he can’t be my backup), and brings the added annoyance of a horde of batspit-crazy fanatics who refuse to accept anything about their deliverer beyond what they want to see or hear?"

Let's be Christians about this and agree to disagree. K, Thanks.

All of those statements are making fun of his supporters. Like I said. Any other brain busters?

So all the anti-religious slurs thrown in don't matter then, right?

If someone writes an article about a athlete that's not very good and then makes racial slurs about the athlete and his fans, it's ok because that's not his main point. got it. wow...

Making fun of their belief in Tebow as a football player. Again, there is nothing wrong with making fun of or disagreeing with someone's opinion. They aren't being denied the right to have that opinion, are they?

You call rap music crap. Rap and hip hop are key elements of black culture in America. Are you therefore mocking black people not only for liking rap music but also for their general cultural elements in this country?

                            • If that's not intolerance then if Sam is not good at football but gets overexposure on ESPN and the most significant thing he brings to the game is coming out before the draft, it's open season on him for homophobes and you should be defending them.
