I forgot the time I got hired for temporary work during inventory at Pomery's at the Concord Mall in Wilmington.

They assigned me to counting the various buttons in the drawers in their sewing department.

I worked for Agway in the early 90's as the warehouse guy

clearly the worst Job I ever had,,thurs was feed day,,I handled between 13 and 20 tons of feed by hand twice, each week,,3 times if you count moving it with the forklift...I remember being fit as hell still coming home covered in Dirt,,,waking up on the couch Hrs later,,didn't even Know I came Home..

when I was a kid working in the family Buss...shoprite SM I had the distinct job of cleaning out the meat room Trap,, I was lowered into it wearing hip waders, with a suction hose,,,Worst smell ever!
Ohh yess, when my eyes came into focus "dark" realized was up to my knees in maggots..

Painted pipelines in an oil refinery

Literally "dove" into bins of paint, straddled pipes and slid the paint. Was in the best shape ever for soccer season after that.

Nothing wierd, but my two worst

are working for a garbage company, riding on the back of the garbage truck, and telemarketing for the Republican Party and the NRA when Dubya was running for his first term. I could only do it for so long, but it felt really wrong to be calling and stumping for that clown so I quit.

                  Those are decent.

My first real job started in 9th grade working in the pressroom of the local paper. Back breaking, long hours, monotonous, terrible pay.

I still have nightmares of a back to school circular we did. 350,000 color fliers in a week. I was working 16-20 hours straight (for $3.25/hr). My job was to catch, straighten, and stack the product as it came up the conveyer belt. Good learning experience and definitely instilled a good work ethic in me. Did that for years on and off.

Talk about filthy though from all that ink.

Calling and having to read some bullshit script that no one with a quarter of a brain would believe. The biggest donation I got was from a guy in Jersey, and I remember having to ask him for $10,000, and dude just said "let me get my credit card" like it was nothing. It was probably Ricardo.

isn't the max donation for a candidate significantly less than that?

My very first job was as a paperboy. There was a guy who had a route in the area and he asked me to fill in for him while he was away.

When I saw how profitable his route was I decided to try for my own.

I got one in the same area. It was good... but not as profitable as his was.

This route was in apartment buildings so there was a lot of stairs and a lot of deadbeats. As I am sure you know back in those days the paper boy had to collect the $$. Now I imagine it's all by credit card. In any case "collecting" was always an adventure. I got to interrupt people having sex, got offered bong hits, etc. I was even bartered a Beatles bootleg for payment one time. (This one I accepted)

Nowadays, the area where I had my paper route is very dangerous. You'd get robbed if you were carrying money there. A friend of mine was robbed there recently.

I was a paperboy from age 12 to 18. Collecting was a pain in the ass. I couldn't believe how many people would be dicks about handing over $1.10 a week for seven days of delivery in all kinds of weather. This in a residential neighborhood where 90% of the dads were IBM engineers. What a strange breed of man they were.

My first job was folding pizza boxes and delivering fliers for Pizza Hut when I was in the 9th grade. $4.25/hr under the table cash. Free drinks and got to eat the pizza that customers never picked up.

Worse job was driving those porta-potty suck trucks. Had the job for three months. I've seen some serious shit.
500 internet fights, that's the number I figured when I first joined igglephans. 500 internet fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate internet-tough guy. You need them for experience, to develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then...after...you realize that's what you are.

Did some of the landscaping thing, but worse yet was working in a greenhouse. During the summer. And having to help apply the soil sterilizing chemicals via a steamer. The boss probably violated a dozen different OSHA laws, and paid his people below minimum wage (via the agriculture exemption).

First job I had also ... did it for two years from when I was 12.

Collecting was no problem for me ... I even got pretty good holiday tips.

My problem was this one dog ... still remember that mean fuck's name: Pepper.
