He averaged 17.8 yards per catch in the first year of Chip Kelly’s offense, and Cooper had a career high of 5.4 in the all-important (in Kelly’s offense) of average yards per catch."If I was racist in my opinion of QB's, I wouldn't have a dog named Donovan." - downundermike

I'd like to see him back, but not at a big contract, which someone just might offer.

i'll be surprised if any team perceives his value to them as being equal to his value to the eagles. i don't think he would perform the way he did from the tampa game onward anywhere else, especially without his BFF under center. if he's commanding decent money, let him walk and sign maclin. i also love the possibility of signing jimmy graham and cutting celek without losing money. jackson, maclin, graham, and ertz as the top 4 targets would be awesome.

Obviously Graham would be amazing, but with this offense being so run-based, I can't imagine them ditching Celek (who's probably one of the best run-blocking TEs) and breaking the bank on Graham.
Those 4 targets would be insane, though, no doubt."If I was racist in my opinion of QB's, I wouldn't have a dog named Donovan." - downundermike

signing cooper to a 15-20M contract would be flushing money down the drain. can easily be replaced by a fourth rounder at 1/10 the cost.
Most of Riley Cooper’s production came from three games, against bad teams in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Oakland Raiders and a really bad defense in the Green Bay Packers. Riley Cooper is a nice deep threat. His size helps him go over the top of defenders, but he consistently struggled to get open on press man coverage. Many of the Eagles sacks were because no one was open. He would disappear for most of the game and was really a non factor in the passing game when he wasn’t open deep. If the Eagles had someone who could’ve consistently moved the chains, the Eagles offense would’ve been even more dangerous. Cooper is likely to demand 4-5 million dollars a year. Is it worth it to pay a guy who really is a one trick pony?Blue Chip College Football - Coach Your College to the National Championship

I just typed "Riley Cooper" into the search terms on PFT. The first hit was the post you're referring to. The second hit was entitled "It'll be a buyer's market for free-agent receivers." It's buyer's market but somehow a racially divisive WR with one good year in a system that produced career years all across the board is going to "riding on a large pile of cash"?
Florio is a hack. Everything he writes at this point is either shit-stirring BS, agenda-driven editorial, or clear back-scratching puff pieces.
