      No limits that I've seen

Some of the dispensaries are mobile and come to your house
Guy shows up with a rolling carry-on bag and inside are 25 varieties, including hash, hash oils and brownies. They have it all weighed up so each bag is $50, and you get different amounts in each bag depending on the quality

That's how they used to do it in Amsterdam too

I think there is supposed to be. But that's impossible to regulate considering there are hundreds of clubs in So. Cal alone that don't share "patient" information or anything like that.

It's definitely more of a public and open industry than some might think.

Weedmaps.com has a menu (+ reviews) for every dispensary in the country. Hilariously, they also have reviews for doctors who give recommendations. The place I went to was literally advertising "quick and easy" recommendations on the street. What a joke..

Once you go dispensary bud you never go back. Most importantly you can trust what you're getting. Have you ever had Mexican shwag? There's a reason all of the cartels are prioritizing other drugs.

Good point. Buyers deserves to know what they are getting and have a place to complain to if the product was misrepresented.

              The problem is...

Tax revenue generation is not a good enough reason to legalize something. If that's the case, legalize everything and put a 30% sin tax on it. It should either be legalized on general principle (which I think it should) or illegal on principle.

The problem is that the state is greedier than the "secondary" dealers. They don't want to give people the freedom to get marijuana in the same way you can get booze or tobacco. They want the tax revenue...corner the market, jack up taxes and continue to prosecute those to attempt to sell or obtain marijuana from somewhere other than a government-sanctioned facility.

You are forgetting about other lobbies that are in play. The lumber industries are a lobby that have stake in it. It is cheaper and a better product to make paper out of hemp then out of trees. Then you have the corn lobby. You can create more ethanol per acre out of hemp then corn. Cotton lobbies are against Hemp as hemp is direct competition to cotton.

I am sure there a more I know I have heard of some prototype car frames being made out of Hemp. Then there is hempcrete. Concrete made out of hemp with improved tensile strength and improved insulating properties.

Actually, allowing farmers to grow industrial hemp unimpeded by the feds is a positive byproduct of legal marijuana legislation. Last I heard the Ron Paul/Barney Frank hemp bill still never made it through Congress with multiple attempts.
