  • Anybody familiar with a band called White Denim?

A friend of mine asked me if I wanted to go see them on Friday. I plan to go and from what I found online it seems I might like them ok. Just wondering if anyone on the board was familiar with tme.

I'd say go. Their album that came out a couple years ago, D, was pretty good. I've been told their new album is great, but I haven't heard it. I've also heard they're great live. They have the older rock, kind of progressive influence, so I'd imagine their show is good.

Good live. Worth a look but the crowd will be insufferable

Definitely indie. But haven't they also inherited some of the jam/indie crowd? I imagine them being like Akron/Family, or maybe Dr. Dog in that regard.

Band from Austin. I've mixed them a couple of times. Good dudes who can jam well. Musicianship out the ass. In this day of shitty assed indie musicianship, these guys are a cut above.

Jam rock. Garage rock. Hints at progressive stuff. A little psychedelia. All guitar band. Good lead singer. Liked their first album a lot more than the most recent.

You can find their live sets on youtube. Some have good sound, some not so much.
