Sure, Why Not? And Fire Chip Kelly While You're At It

I must admit there were times when I thought the article started to make a little sense -- that's when I decided it was time to put the bottle of scotch back in the cupboard.

Trade Desean Jackson? I have two words in response -- "in" and "sane"!

Jackson might lose a step? Sure, and I might lose 150 pounds and get into a pair of size 36 waist pants for the first time since 1971!

Fact -- Jackson is coming off his best season. Fact -- every time he goes back as a punt returner you know the possibility is there he will take it to the house. The thing is, the other team knows this as well

IMHO, the most important part about that article is the way one wideout opens up the middle for the running game, and as the article also pointed out the Eagles' running game was just a little bit successful last season.

I'm not quite ready to jump on the "Chip walks on water" bandwagon just yet, but I'll trust his judgement and my eyes on this one.

I agree with point if/when Desean loses a step, his value plummets

Any chance we could land a late 1st rounder/early second? Take CB with our pick and then best WR avail? Resign Maclin during the season and we're looking good.
They won't trade him. Not now, at least.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see them pick a WR in the first 3 rounds this year. If Maclin is healthy and beasts out, they'll extend him. And if they've got a productive rookie (or at least a really promising one), Jackson could be gone after this coming season.

500 internet fights, that's the number I figured when I first joined igglephans. 500 internet fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate internet-tough guy. You need them for experience, to develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then...after...you realize that's what you are.

                You're Right -- It's Wicked Stuff

My wife loves Dewars but Chivas Regal is her favorite ("That's what you call smooth" she says).

Me? My first chance to drink some kind of scotch/bourbon (I don't remember what it was) was in 1970. I saw too many cowboy movies and drank the glass right down the hatch instead of sipping it.

My throat burned for three solid weeks. Never again (although my wife is still trying to get me to try it).

This would be a terrible idea

Jackson is coming off a career year. He was born to play in Chip Kelly's offense. He's always been a diva and it hasn't slowed him down yet. He's still young and is probably the best deep threat in the game today. Unless you're replacing him with a Cordarrelle Patterson or Sammy Watkins, this would be a terrible move.

If Desean lost TWO steps... he would still be as fast as 80% of the NFL's WR's.
