  • Nothing on THIS guy?

Come on, I thought there were hoops fans on this board.

I've got mixed feelings. Deserved the honor. In alltime top five sixers. Never had a problem with his lifestyle, braids, or PRACTICE? But never could fully embrace him because he was a shoot-first guard they tried to build around. He still took them further than Charles ever did. If they win that second game in LA in 01 maybe they could have stolen the whole thing and then I dont care in the slightest that he is a shoot-first guard they built around.

No doubt he was a warrior. Thats what I liked best about him. A fearless little guy who got banged up nightly and never stopped going all out. And quick as hell and about as fun to watch as anybody.

    Officially awaiting Douchebagnacht II since
    May 7, 2010

The guy couldn't get out of his own way, but he was an incredible competitor and one of my most favorite players ever to watch.

2001 was an unbelievable season...was there for 2 of those home playoff wins that I'll never forget..

No Moses? Without him Doc never gets a ring.

On a sidenote, as good as AI was, they would have been better off picking the local high school kid in that draft.

Of course, as Laker fan, I'm glad they didn't.

Wilt and Doc (obvious); Billy C for winning titles as a player...great sixth man for the 67 team...and as a coach. Hal Greer's got to be on there...youngsters just look at his numbers and add another thousand points because their was no three-pointer then.

that leaves one spot and I go AI because he took them to the finals...Charles never got to a finals with the Sixers.

Hal Greer belongs because he had the all-time best Dave Zinkoff name call after a score.
