Word around Buffalo is that Byrd has an attitude problem and too high an opinion of himself. He was tagged last year. He's already turned down a contract from the Bills that would have made him the highest paid safety in the league.
Something about this guy smells bad to me. Maybe he just wants out of Buffalo. I dunno.

Id take him in a heartbeat. Not sure he deserves to be the highest paid safety in the league, but he would be a huge upgrade, and you cant fault anyone for having a bad mood playing in Buffalo. They're not committed to winning, and if not for Marv Levy they would probably be known as the worst franchise in the history of the league. Either them or the Lions

per sources in Buffalo, Byrd is balking at a deal from Bills that guarantees $30m in the 1st three years.
http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/10...ach-standstill
People familiar with the situation told The Associated Press talks have stalled and no further discussions are scheduled after the Bills made a lucrative, multiyear offer to Byrd. Without revealing the full value and length of the offer, one person said Byrd would have been paid about $30 million over the contract's first three seasons.
The people spoke on the condition of anonymity because neither side has publicly discussed negotiations.
Unless a deal is reached, the Bills have until 4 p.m. Monday to apply the franchise tag on Byrd and retain the player's rights before he would be eligible to become an unrestricted free agent on March 11.Last edited by Ellsworth; 03-03-2014, 09:50 AM.

Is that the word from the hipster bands you mix
who come to LA from Buffalo?John Erlichman, one of President Richard Nixon's closest aides, has admitted America's "War on Drugs" was a hoax designed to vilify and disrupt "the antiwar left and black people" when it was launched in 1971.
