Smith is a veteran coach, and a defensive one at that, so maybe he'd be ok with that situation but I could see that causing problems.

Like the kid who's parent is one of their teachers. Some players would undoubtedly have a feeling of unequal treatment.

Yeah..I know there is no way I could work with my dad in that kind of situation

but everyone has diff relationships with their Parents....so we will see if that factors into his decision. The Eagles may never even talk to the guy....7 more days!

        PackWest brought this up yesterday.

I don't see it even mattering. Tampa drafted Barron high two years ago, and he's been good. They signed Goldson to a lucrative deal last off season.

Byrd is a good player, but he's not head and shoulders better than either of the safeties they already have.

I can't see how or why Tampa would sign another safety.

Agreed, and not only does Tampa already have safeties, it would be a strange situation having your Dad on the staff as others have noted

They also don't need Revis to play Lovie's preferred cover-2 defense
