Master of the falling back, eyes closed 20 yard touchdown pass.500 internet fights, that's the number I figured when I first joined igglephans. 500 internet fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate internet-tough guy. You need them for experience, to develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then...after...you realize that's what you are.

I agree 100% there
Thats why I said if the Giants draft oline and bring in some DL Lber help in FA,.,,they could win 10 games....
I expect the Gnats to stick with him. and if you block for Sheli he could be there for at least 3 more years. But in sense,,Both teams are starting guys that are just on their last legs, Gives Chip a window to groom some Qbs if needed..OFFICIAL BOARD DRUG CZAR

Detroit, Atlanta and Arizona. That's not easy by any stretch of the imagination.
The NFC is pretty stacked. 1-3 in all the divisions is pretty legit.--------

yep. a "last place" schedule isn't any easier than a first place schedule. they only face two different opponents. a first place schedule often ends up being easier percentage-wise than a last place schedule. the eagles face the 3-13 redskins twice, whereas the redskins face the 10-6 eagles twice. that accounts for a HUGE change in lagged winning percentage.
manning and romo aren't that old as far as QBs go. their teams definitely won't find better options any time soon. romo is a very good regular season QB but he's the anti-clutch. eli is very clutch given the opportunity, but when he doesn't have a good team to give him this opportunity he's not very good. and this guy will probably end up in the HOF one day. funny how that works.

Actually thought about Slackjaw and the HOF

i agree that it shouldn't be enough - but it will. jim plunkett is the only QB with multiple rings not in the HOF, and he wasn't very good. every QB with multiple SB MVPs in the HOF.
this discussion opens the door for roethlisberger, who i think is more deserving of the HOF than eli. much of this is based off of postseason victories, and he's been to 3 super bowls. but there isn't room for both guys in the HOF, and eli has a better reputation. roethlisberger will be remembered for having won due to a dominant defense, especially in 05 when he turned in a QB rating in the low 20s in the super bowl. the writers will forget how bad eli was at times, especially since it will probably take him a little while to get in. he'll be remembered for his historically clutch performances, and his bad seasons(like 4 of the past 5 missing the playoffs) will be blamed on his lack of help.

I think both Slackjaw and Eli will be in the HOF. They may even have a little shrine you can go into to pay your respects.--------

They also want to expand in Europe and Asia. They've (the owners) come to the realization that the talent pool of home grown American athletes is limited. There are barely enough NFL caliber players to fill 32 rosters, let alone more teams in the future... especially quarterbacks. There are a lot of great athletes around the globe that haven't been exposed enough to American football. Global expansion is necessary for the game to grow.
It could be that future expansion has something to do with wanting to restructure divisions and playoff seeds. Do that now so fans get used to it.Last edited by The Ref; 03-09-2014, 06:22 PM.
