Rosie better push hard for this guy. If he gets less than a 60 mill five year deal with 35 guaranteed then the eagles didn't do enough.

isn't revis the guy that held out twice and then threatened to hold out a third time which forced his trade?

not saying the guy isn't awesome...but not sure how that would fly here.

Tampa cut him for a reason $16 Million for a corner = insanity.

CB's are the 3 highest paid position on a team behind DE's and QB's.

he's gotta be one of the biggest assholes around to have 2 teams let him go and TB doing it in less than 1 year.

not sure he's worth the headache

Spuds says no. McLane says no. Rueben says no. All in the last 10 mins on Twitter.

              soooo.....yes?

Not arguing, but here is a perspective of how $16 million/yr for him would compare to other contracts.

                Here are 2014 franchise tags:

                Quarterback $16,912,000
                Defensive End $13,116,000
                Wide Receiver $12,312,000
                Cornerback $11,834,000
                Offensive Linemen $11,654,000
                Linebacker $11,455,000
                Defensive Tackle $9,654,000
                Running Back $9,540,000
                Safety $8,433,000
                Tight End $7,035,000
                Kicker or Punter $3,556,000

So the $16 million/yr (which is included in the CB tag) would put him approx. 33% higher than the to 5 average in the league.

Revis signed a bad deal for both parties. It was 6 years, 96 million with zero guaranteed money and zero signing bonus. Each year was a 13 million dollar base and then incentives. It was like he was on a bunch of one year contracts... like being franchised every year.

It takes balls for a player to do a deal like that, but he was coming off acl.

Diddy said he was being misused in schiano scheme last season but just went to work and did what his coach asked. He completely fits the mold of a guy labeled as a greedy asshole until he goes to new england and belichick "turns him into a winner."

But we have chip kelly now and he is supposedly capable of similar reclamation projects. So, as far as I'm concerned, "the guys an asshole" excuse left town on the freighter that carted the fat fuck across the mississippi. Sign him and let him play. Its thay simple.

He'll be a year healthier and hungry after what was, by his standards, a subpar year, probably due to a bad fit and a weak ACL. From Pittsburgh, went to Pitt. Probably fairly familiar with philly. Maybe Shady can try to get him to come and Howie can show him the money. Don't be scared to make a splash, guys

Spend crazy money on free agents. I think I read that in chapter two of Dan Synders book on how to turn an NFL team into a doormat. I'd like to see him in Green but not at that price tag.

Chip is building something here...Unless they know something we don't...Revis has to come down to fucin Earth for his own sake. He will end up gettin backup money before he knows it. Sign a normal deal with any team,,No more Primadonna, go to work start 50 games straight..U will get paid.

If he wasnt a head case I'd say yeah give it shot..

                            If they could frontload

The contract, it's a good idea. They have tons of cap room this year and giving it to revis versus no one is fine by me.
