  • Backup QB?

The Titans are expected to release Ryan Fitzpatrick soon. I think this would be a nice option to back-up Foles...solid veteran with surprising running ability...

They worked out Brett Smith at Wyoming's Pro Day.

    A SLEEPER QB PROSPECT

The Eagles sent QBs coach Bill Musgrave to Wyoming's Pro Day to check out signal-caller Brett Smith. Here are the numbers:

Adequate height, big hands and an excellent 40 time.

As a junior, Smith completed 62 percent of his passes for 3,375 yards, 29 touchdowns and 11 INTs. He also ran for 571 yards and four scores. Dane Brugler of CBSSports.com described Smith as "a more controlled version of Johnny Manziel."

Smith was not invited to the combine. According to NFL.com, he's projected to be a mid-to-late round pick.

    Brett Smith's official numbers: 6016 207, 10 inch hands. 4.51 official 40 time.
