Found this in the second google hit

The Jacksonville Jaguars continued their free-agent spending spree on Thursday by inking defensive end Chris Clemons to a four-year deal, according to NFL ...

EDITED TO ADD: Knew about it from watching ESPN on Jet Blue yesterday.

There was a Chris Clemons signing with the Eagles Rumor. But when I saw this thread, I also thought of the former eagle.

its starting to look like a return to the Fins Scenario

like the guy is gauging his market value.

was looking at this free agent tracker on ESPN...They have Nate Allen Grading out as a C player and our boy Jenkins is a low D....Clemons is at the top,,still unsigned....Just curious has anyone heard anything,,,still think we could use a stronger guy as a safety for down in the Box....Jenkins is like a 4th DB who plays safety.

So far haven't heard a thing about the guy and possible suitors...maybe both sides are waiting for the Dust to settle.

Would love to see Clemons signed but my guess is Eagles tried or who knows maybe are still trying but Clemons has multiple teams expressing their interest. After the top three went he is the best left. Good coverage corner that the Dolphins would miss. Be sure they are trying to keep him and there are others besides the Eagles interested.

Mentioned him weeks ago as the safety I thought the Eagles should target. Im sure they talked to his agent.

The clear message from Chip Kelly

He does not want a pure strong safety on one side and a pure free safety on the other. He wants both safeties on the field to be interchangeable on the fly.

The word "versatility" has been used, overused, and beaten into the ground in every article I have seen on Jenkins. I don't know Clemons' game that well, but perhaps he doesn't have this versatility. I'm not suggesting he wouldn't upgrade our secondary, but perhaps this is why Chip is not in hot pursuit of the guy.
