  • Congratulations Sixers!

Franchise record 21st consecutive loss! Only need five more for the league record!
    Officially awaiting Douchebagnacht II since

Nah -- The Important Loss Will Be 24

If the Sixers lose just three more games before accidentally winning one, they will have more consecutive losses than the 1961 Phillies and -- I believe -- the city record for futility.

    Lose, Sixers, lose!

I'd like to see them sit MCW for the rest of the season.

      Karmically though, all this disingenuous

Just wait until they flop in the draft lottery and miss out on Wiggins and Parker. I expect both/ either the Celtics and/or Lakers to leapfrog them. I have no doubt that's going to happen. They aren't catching the Bucks. They needed to tank earlier.

Milwaukee only has a 2 games lead! They could 'accidentally' win one or both against Sacramento and Lakers coming up! 76ers doing a great job. Keep at it!

I've been following the Bucks for weeks now. They are not going to win enough games. No shot. I still think the Sixers will win at least one. The NBA still stinks enough for this team to pull one out.

does the NBA have a tanking problem or a mediocre (bad) team stuck in the middle and gets nowhere problem?

I think the latter produces the former

They need to find a better way to spread the wealth (Ex: LeBron forming a team in Miami doesn't help). They also need to remove a few teams. Not likely going to happen. It's really a sad product right now.

This is going to be one of the great gambling comeback stories of all time for everyone who bet the under on the Sixers win total this season.

if they get the #1 pick, who do you want them to take?

I like parker a lot but he has a little trouble creating his own shot off the dribble. Akil Mitchell did a very good job against him in the lower post and contained him quite a bit in the 2nd half when UVA won the ACC tourney. Parker will face guys just like Mitchell in the NBA on a nightly basis.

Parker is great in transition, can shoot very well from behind the arc, is a complete player. But, I might lean towards Wiggins if I was the Sixers. You just cannot touch his athletic ability and he looks to have more room to grow than Parker.

Wiggins has the greatest upside. He's the guy they need to target.

                        How does the lottery work?

If you finish in the worst three, aren't you protected from going lower than top five or something?

Not so sure they won't get rid of at least a couple of teams pretty soon. As I understand it, attendance is so dismal at the bottom 6 or 7 teams these days that they are hemorrhaging money, to the point where the big clubs have to pay to keep them afloat. Doesn't make much business sense keeping that up forever, particularly when the league knows the minute an unpopular, perpetually terrible team actually gets good and knocks off the Heat or the Lakers, their ratings plummet. I think the finances are going to get bleak to the point where the league is going to have to recognize the fact that they overexpanded and easily 2, if not 4, teams should probably be eliminated. It'd be nice if they shortened the season, too, but that's a different issue.

The way I understood the lottery process was that the Top 3 was determined by ping pong balls and those slots remaining were based on record. The Sixers worst case scenario is pick number 5.

I see teams relocating (Ex. Seattle) but not downsizing. The NBA is a hot mess right now.
