  • I can think of two plays Riley Cooper didn't make

Each of which went a long way to costing the Eagles a playoff game.

Todd Pinkston had a really good season, too, when T.O. was on the other side of the field.

Todd Pinkston had better seasons before Owens got to Philadelphia.

Cooper blew that slant in the Saints game, but he made plays all year.

And wtf does Cooper have to do with Jackson?

The signing that started speculation on Jackson's tenure was Sproles.

And, of the two WR's who were signed, Maclin is more of a "reason" for speculating on Jackson's departure than Cooper.

Remember how Jackson stepped it up in the playoff game this year, equalling or surpassing Cooper in yards, receptions and TD's?

          Neither do I.

In fact, Jackson has 2 TDs in 6 playoff games. And one of them was pretty much meaningless vs. Dallas.

He also didn't score a TD in the end of season loss to Dallas in 2009 to lose the division to them and force a road playoff game.

Nor did he score a TD against Minnesota in 2010. Had the Eagles won that game, they'd have had a chance to play for a 1st round playoff bye. Instead they had to face Green Bay in the game where rookie WR Cooper "cost" the Eagles the game and Jackson himself, again, had to TDs.

And Coop caught a TD in the playoff game, but of course they bring up the fumble every chance they get.

              Cooper cost them that game?

How's that ... he didn't point to the sky to make sure Vick threw it high enough?

EDITED TO ADD: Or was that sarcastic?

I was assuming that RSE was referring to that play in his original post. I should have put "cost" in quotes.

                EDIT

                Fixed. Editorial session concluded.

And how does Lesean McCoy look in playoff games? He's played in 3 of them. Pretty fucking horrible production. Okay, maybe horrible is harsh, but pretty fucking mediocre. No better RB production than Jackson has had WR production.

It's actually "only Eagles' WR" to catch a TD in a Super Bowl.

McNabb's falling backwards laser strike to Westbrook between what seemed like the entire Pats' D was one of the greatest passes I've ever seen. LJ Smiff caught one that game too.

Pinkston caught 36 passes and scored 1 TD while starting the entire 04 season.
