Hey Clem, the orange car is a 63 Lemans the green car is a 63 Tempest, the only real difference is the taillights and trim. The 63's were a one year only body style.

They actually have quite a bit in common with your Corvair, even though you are rear engine, they use a very similar body platform called the "Y" body.

The Tempest/ Lemans have a very unusual drive train arrangement, the engine is up front, but the transmission and rear end are BOTH at the back of the car for a 50/50 weigh distribution, the new Corvettes since 2008 now use this configuration.

Fear, its a little earlier version of the same car.

The photo was taken in Wilmington at Rcokford Park over the Brandywine. Had many keg related parties up top. Real cool spot, real cool park.

I fell into that car, its a blast.

I was wondering were the pic was taken, although it's been a long time since I have been there that location and stone tower look very Washington's Crossing-ish?

Still a crap load of fun for about 5% of the cougar

Clem I love the Corvairs, I always wanted a 66 up coupe!

I'll see if this pic of my bike and my race car tow vehicle will load. I just put a bunch of pics on my album and made them public.

    Fake Ford ????

Is it real? Did Ford really put on their trim tags with phillips pan head screws? Usually don't have orange overspray on them either. Also is "T" candy apple red or kill katholic Organge?

40 K is crazy but if its real, who knows, this car is a driver quality car and could be fun.

Also, does it come with the "pamphlet" in the glove box?
