Who would make a bigger impact on the Eagles? Assuming he's healthy - I think it could be Wilfork.

Oh by far, he takes up a ton of space in the middle.. he would give them also a year or two in order to draft his back up

They're interested in bringing in aging veterans.

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't mind Wilfork at NT or as a DE, but I honestly think they're content with Cox-Logan-Thorton in front of whoever they draft to add depth..

He fills a massive hole for any defense, but the challenge is that with all the up-tempo and 4-5 WR spreads, his role is diminished to a 1 or 2 down player. And that's fine too, but he needs to re-adjust his pay scale to align with what's going on in the NFL.

Everybody plays nickel/dime 60-70% of the time and there isn't a role for a behemoth NT in those alignments.
Typically 2 DTs and 2 pass rushers are used by both 3-4 and 4-3 teams in nickle D

Many teams would love to have him, but he's gotta get with reality on the pay side. He and his agent think the Pats are screwing him over, but its really a function of the entire league de-valuing the NT position.
That being said, he'll have several teams interested and the Pats definitely need cap space.
