  • Ok now he is staying = TRANSLATION

teams that were interested, maybe very interested that thought they could pick him up after he was cut. NOT GOING TO BE ABLE TO GET ON THE CHEAP!

Which is great - either move him and that contract for a decent pick and get a young stud wr from this years crop. I prefer this because his value to the team will not be as high as past years since the change of offensive that moves the ball around.

Or they keep an All Pro WR that has learned a lesson that he isn't what his ego and agent hopes he is worth on the open market and he keeps his whinnng mouth shut and has something to prove. He is the highest paid player on the team.

Riddle me this DJackson worshippers do you really think DJackson is worth more than Foles and Shady?

If so give me SPECIFIC reasons .

He leaves they lose that contract and replace him with a young stud.

Good point I would be fine if he stayed after restructuring his contract to something more in line with his true worth to the team. He should not be the highest paid player on the team.

Maybe he sees the light and the fact that other teams were not standing in line to pay him what he was getting with the Eagles contract heck maybe not close. He now knows he is getting more from the Eagles than he would on the open market.

Acutally however this is played I think it was well played by the teams management.

He's the 2nd or 3rd best player on the team. Considering he is a WR, a position that gets paid higher than LeSean McCoy would make as a RB, what is the issue? The only player that has any argument (based on skill and the position he plays) to get paid more is Peters, and he blew out his Achilles a couple of years, making him a serious injury risk. We have plenty of cap room, so it's not that big of a deal.
DJax has no reason to take less money right now, unless he got an extension that would guarantee more down the road. He is paid appropriately when you look at the WR payscale and his on-field production.
