Your thoughts on the Desean Jackson and Evan Mathis situation. Also, it looks like the Birds are headed for cap hell. What can they do to free up some cap space?

Two Gap, the solutions to both the Jackson and Mathis issues and the Eagles being in cap hell are one and the same: release them both and pocket the cap savings for both 2014 AND 2015.
Do not fear that this would create holes to fill on the roster as I have identified prospects who are likely to go undrafted and should be willing to sign cap-friendly deals resulting in a minimal cap hit.
To replace Jackson, take a look at TJ Jones. This 5'11, 195 lb. WR was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and comes with a Fighting Irish pedigree.
For Mathis' replacement, go for Nolan MacMillan, OG from Toronto who played for the Iowa Hawkeyes. He went to prep school in New Jersey so he should not have as much difficulty adjusting to the states as did Danny Watkins.
While we are at it, let's boost our LB corps by adding Bo Lokombo, a great player in the Mike Labinjo tradition. Lokombo sounds kind of like Labinjo and he was born in Kinshasa, Congo but raised in Abbotsford, British Columbia so you know he's going to be good.Comment
