NFL Rule Changes This Year - Extra Points

The goal posts will be raised 5ft this year and they will test moving the extra point attempt back to the 25 from the 2 yard line in the pre-season. Perfect. Don't remove it. Just make it harder. I hope it does get moved back next year.

No more getting beat by a 62 yarder I guess,,,No more records from the Place Kicker position,,,all the records that were set over the last 30 years will never be touched...I don't agree with this..

I thought they meant the height of the uprights?

It's not the crossbar height that is being changed, the uprights are being made 5 feet longer.

Belicheat got pissed about it during a game last year. I guess if they are higher there is more of a chance a kick will clang off them.

I can understand that; the crossbard should not be changed

My old man used to tell me stories of Guys grabbing the Goalpost and pulling themselves over the GL....back in the Day when the Goal post was on the goal line...I know you can find Highlights of guys running into them....things Change
