Perhaps the Eagles are in the process of filing a greivance with the league to force adequate compensation from the Jets for tampering by discussing a contract with Desean Jackson without getting permission from the Eagles, first. The Jets owner pretty much stated that his team was pursuing Jackson and that his GM knew more than he did about such things. If that's the case, and Chip Kelly is really, "always gonna do what's best for the football team," the Eagles would be trying to get as much for their compromised asset as possible.
