You can want them all you want. Kelly's job is to make sure the team wins games - not keep personnel that ignorant fans (no offense but none of us know what actually has gone on with him and the Eagles) deem irreplaceable.

Kelly made the bold move by cutting him. Now if the team does struggle offensively, it'll be easy to say it's because he cut Jackson.

Regardless, Kelly doesn't strike me as a coach that cares what the fans think in this regard. And he shouldn't care about it too much - that's not his job.

we released him because of reason X. The last regime was doing all of that secretive shit, and it got them nothing. I don't see what it hurts to say why he's no longer a member of this team. If everything is factual, there's no need to worry, right ?

There's a good reason not to do that aside from legal issues.

The action of cutting the player already speaks for itself and other players don't want to see the coach or GM bad-mouthing another guy (even if he thinks there's a good reason to do it).

It's bad form.

And answering a few questions about why you flat out cut one of the league's best playmakers is not "listening to the fans"
