Kelly made the bold move by cutting him. Now if the team does struggle offensively, it'll be easy to say it's because he cut Jackson.
Regardless, Kelly doesn't strike me as a coach that cares what the fans think in this regard. And he shouldn't care about it too much - that's not his job.--

I don't think it would be too much to say

There's a good reason not to do that aside from legal issues.
The action of cutting the player already speaks for itself and other players don't want to see the coach or GM bad-mouthing another guy (even if he thinks there's a good reason to do it).
It's bad form.Last edited by slag; 03-28-2014, 04:39 PM.Obscenity is the last refuge of an inarticulate motherfucker.

"If you listen to the fans, you'll wind up sitting with them some day"--Buddy Ryan as the Eagles head coach.
"I don't care what the fans want. For too long in this town, it seems like the fans ran the team"--Dick Vermeil on if he was going to pull Ron Jaworski after he threw 3 INTS in the 1978 opener against the Rams.
