Chip has no margin for error on this one. He better be right.

He better be right. As of now it is a horrible decision and shows a lack of leadership.

      Good point

Yeah, Chip better be dead on with this. Hell, he better be on the phone with the Browns right now trying to swing a deal.

Strangely though espn just showed interviews with Herreman, Maclin and Cole from last night and none of them supported Jackson or seemed to care at all.

Whatever. How about what Nick Foles thinks? I couldn't give a shit about the rest of them.

There are some lawyers in my firm who I don't care much for. But they make me money, so I deal with it.

You have to wonder about that--that none of his teammates have come out and supported him. All you have to do is go back to the interview that Vick gave last week when he said that getting cut or traded maybe would be what Jackson needed to get his professional life and personal life straightened out. You have to wonder when a guy like Kelce comes out and says "it's a great move and I'm excited about the direction of the organization". A great move to cut a productive player like Jackson?? Something is going on here guys and something that the fans aren't privvy to.

As for "it'll suck if he signs within the NFC East"--well, Owens signed with the Cowboys and the Eagles were 4-2 against them and they only won one division title during his time there--and promptly became the 1st NFC top seed to lose their first playoff game.

Damn skippy, just now having that same conversation with a buddy from work, some reps we do not like but they refer us business

What is Nicks take on this is the question

I will add to your original post that, I don't know if he can't deal with him or it's just that Chip doesn't want to

I think this will make or break Roseman and Kelly ... they better be right.

As one of Chip's biggest boosters/defenders...

...since the first days they were courting him, this one is impossible, at this stage at least, to defend.

Unless it comes out Jackson was directly linked to a really serious felony, I dont see how you justify cutting the guy. As you said, no wiggle room on this one.

                      Spot On

I, too, have found very little to bitch about when it comes to Kelly, but he damn well better be right. Maybe Sproles was the X-factor in all this -- that's the only way I can see the Eagles coming close to recouping what they lost with Jackson.

Sproles isn't Jackson, but if he can put up a portion of his production and a draft pick can come up with the rest, Kelly could come away smelling like a rose -- if not, there's the door.

                        that's the bottom line.

frankly i think they can justify parting ways with jackson if they really had a problem with the gang connection.

however, it's difficult to reconcile their coddling of cooper with their intolerance of djax.
