  • Eagles Front Office Reaches an All Time Low.

I'm playing some happy hour Golden Tee at Aroogas. ESPN is wall-to-wall DJax. Then this crawls across the bottom of the screen "the Eagles didn't want to trade Jackson's issues to another team".

This has to be the most self-serving, hateful and disingenous comment I've seen from any NFL team. I'm more stunned than the GREAT LES BOWEN.

As if they didn't know Jackson's alleged gang connections before today's article. I don't even think Ratface would have made a comment like that.

If I wasn't an Eagles fan, I'd wish 0-16 on them. Scumbags.

"the Eagles didn't want to trade Jackson's issues to another team".

Nothing I've read supports that. Everything I've read/heard suggests they tried to trade him. Schefter said that there was interest, but it didn't say anything about an actual offer.

Not sure, Maniac says he saw it on an ESPN ticker.

I assume it's based on this:

        ‏@AdamSchefter

Despite shopping him and finding interest, Eagles have made decision to cut WR DeSean Jackson. Outright. Jackson is now a free agent.

I read your original post in the thread but if some reporter said this shit it isn't the same as an Eagle official stating "We didn't want to trade our problem to another team."

Not to mention, there are multiple reports that trading him is exactly what they they tried to do.

              .
Agree. However it read like a quote from the front office. I guess we agree that it would not be cool if it was. We'll see. Possibly.

I think it was a paraphrase. They probably wanted to provide full disclosure to inquiring teams. I'm not sure how that works legally. If a "regular" employer would do something like that, they'd' be begging for a lawsuit.

What was said was they weren't comfortable disclosing to other teams why they were trading him.
