  • Media is implying there is another shoe yet to drop.

    For example:
    Derrick Gunn ‏@TheRealDGunnCSN 38m

When I reported eagles were trying to get a 3rd round pick for Desean now you know why.... Stay tuned
My feeling is there better be more or this move is incredibly stupid.

      Wouldn't be surprised

Something is still not adding up, there are potential problematic issues with current players on the roster.

This team has taken on other divisive players with mixed success in the past.

Allowing a player who is not a huge $$ issue and responded well under the new system to walk is strange.

I can't see any professional coach allowing such performance just walk unless something serious was brewing.

I don't believe the conjecture the FO can't handle him.

However, it's a private business they can fucking fire the whole roster is they want...they don't like someone they can let them go and don't need to explain anything.

Either it is true that DeSean is in a gang or it's the SMEAR CAMPAIGN di tutti SMEAR CAMPAIGNS.

I don't see much middle ground here.

and plenty who played for less on weaker teams and never admitted to not playing as hard as they could....that's heart.

i think there are multiple factors involved. primary is probably the money then personalities. chip can obviously relate to a redneck more than gangsta.

the smear campaign is gutless but it's an eagles front office tradition.

I dont think the Guy is in or Afilliated with a gang

but you read all the tweets and responses by DJ's team mates over the last 2 days,,they seem to echo Kelly's "whats best for the Team",,so its something,,it will come out.

I don't think DeSean is necessarily IN a gang. He may be connected to gang members through his rap label or somesuch, and that might be enough for Lurie to feel very uncomfortable about him after the Hernandez incident. Given the photographic evidence, it's tough to dismiss as fantasy that he at least has SOME gang connections, or would at least like to represent himself as having them.

The nj.com article seemed to be connecting some extra dots and making vague accusatory statements, but that could be just the reporter trying to sensationalize his own article.

I personally think with as many factors involved as there are, there's LOTS of room for middle ground.

Where do you think the NJ.com reporters got their information from?

Call me naive, but maybe they did some actual reporting?

Maybe while all the Philly.com guys were sitting around griping about the FO not feeding them stories, they actually went out and got some actual dirt. All it would take is a few phone calls and accessing some public records.

                            I could be wrong, but I don't think it's a black-and-white, either/or situation at all.

Is it gargano who is on from 1-6? I believe it is. Anyway he alluded to there being much more to this than what's known publicly to this point but if he knew from direct team sources he wasn't saying anything on record.
