Thinking about this some more, I find it hard to believe that the same team that weathered the shit they took in connection with Michael Vick and Riley Cooper wouldn't put up with some pretty smelly shit associated with a talent like DeSean Jackson.

Thinking about this some more, I find it hard to believe that the same team that weathered the shit they took in connection with Michael Vick and Riley Cooper wouldn't put up with some pretty smelly shit associated with a talent like DeSean Jackson.

Reid, probably because of his son's problems, was heavy into redemption and accepting shortcomings. Chip owes Jackson nothing really, since he literally had to force him to learn the different WR positions and being used in unusual ways last year helped him get better numbers. The fact Chip targeted DJ more than Reid, from around 50% under Reid to 65% last year, also helped him get better numbers, but he also had several games where he did nothing despite this.

There is no way the Eagles deplete their arsenal and take a 6M cap hit unless there is something serious going on here. Ask yourself why Reid himself seems to be showing no interest in Jackson. Has there been any defenders of the Jackson from the locker room, not yet and maybe not at all. I expect more to come out in the days and weeks ahead.

Disagree about two different teams ... Chip could have cut Vick loose and avoided any shit with that qb controversy and continued shit from anti-Vick people when he was hired.

Many were surprised he kept Vick.

Chip was also the coach when they took shit for keeping Cooper.

"His" team stuck with those guys.

Reid is irrelevant here.

And Lurie and Roseman were there the entire time for both Vick and Cooper.

Reid would have cut Cooper and Jackson would still be an Eagle. I firmly believe that.
