  • Have to grade the Jackson move a solid

    Incomplete.

We might be able to grade it in a matter of days. (remember how the Hernandez story involved over several days.

We might be able to grade this fall, if he is catching touchdowns from RG3.

We might be able to read it in a few years. Will be continue to grow and mature as a player, or is his best football behind him already?

    For now, a solid incomplete.

Now if you want to grade the front office in its handling of this, we are talking a solid F. As in fiasco.

Outside of an indictment coming down and the Eagles offense roaring next year this will be an absolute F and someone needs to be fired.

Can you imagine if "the Eagles smeared Jackson with a planted and fake gang allegation" becomes believed among players in the NFL? Also let's not pretend a majority black doesn't notice Riley Cooper. This could make the Phillies draft shenanigans look like child's play.

      Smear?

Where is it being reported that the Eagles released all the gang stuff? All I have seen from the FO and Chip were that it was because of attitude and work ethic. Sure you can read between the lines and say it was something more....But all I have heard from them is silence...Not smear.

FO has said nothing. Some hacks at NJ.com are running with a story that everyone is pointing to. Lazy journalism.

Once he signs on with another team we will all probably hear the circumstances about his release. Its easy to speculate without credible evidence. Chip has huge balls to cut a player with an elite skill set at WR. However, given what Chip has done with the team in short order, I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

The Eagles could always issue a denial that the gang story had any influence if they wanted to clear the air.

            Denial

Doesn't make good business sense to do that...And I wouldn't want to get involved at all. If I were in their shoes I would do the same thing.

We all know if there is more or they leaked his gang affiliation to other teams, it will come out.

This. They see that their silence is fueling speculation. If it wasn't part of their decision and they gave a crap about the reputation of a guy who did a lot for the organization, they could speak up.

Most definitely. This team signed Mark Sanchez and cut Desean Jackson within hours of each other. Too many people would question their thought process if this had happened without the peripheral intimation that Desean is a gang banger.
