That is more of an apology for Roseclown's incompetence than a reason. Good GMs find ways to make deals. Average GMs wait to see what the market offers them and then cut a guy around August 1st so he has less time to revitalize his career with a rival club. Weak GMs panic and then claim the player was too expensive (as if they don't print money down at the Novacare Complex).

Money had something to do with why they didn't strike a deal right now but it had little to do with why Roseclown panicked. He panicked because his temperament is weak and his skill set is limited.

I don't really give a shit if they got some bullshit back or not, because I want him on the roster ... and with that contract the best GM in the NFL wasn't getting a big enough return to suit me.

So, Howlo not getting a 3, or a 5, or fucking bag of used jocks is irrelevant to me.

I will only be happy if the Eagles offense doesn't miss him ... or there really is some Hernandez-level shit going on with him that justified the move.

If he's not going to be here, you have to get something back. Maybe that doesnt bother you, they have 6 picks in the draft and just gave up a chance to do better. It was a complete fail by howie.
