  • Kelly's legacy starts now

Chipster's tenure as coach will be evaluated by this week's decision.

He's either going to be right, have a team that buys in, and establishes a winning culture that hopefully will result in a Super Bowl.

Or the team just won't be good enough under his leadership, and everything will fall apart.

It will be a while before we can truly evaluate the effectiveness of the Jackson move.

    That is a bit extreme

Either he wins it all or he fails miserably...no middle ground possible?

If Reid is considered a failure, that's not unrealistic.

And if you'll notice I said that he will establish a winning culture that hopefully results in a Super Bowl. That does not say that not winning it all is a failure.

12 years of middle ground is what got him fired.

I can't see things falling apart. If they were going to fall apart, it would have started with teammates coming out saying they didn't agree with the decision--instead, players were either directly or indirectly hailing it as a great move.

I think Foles is the bigger question mark for success. It's highly doubtful he repeats last year's performance (with or without Jackson). Kelly needs to show he can continue to innovate and be successful without Foles only throwing TD's.

I don't exactly see the move being hailed as great, but the player reaction is one of the reasons I'm not fired up about this move.

Eagles players have tweeted support for Jackson. It just isn't showing up in philly sports pages.
