when did you ever hear a trade rumor about this guy?

NOW we hear they were trying to trade him for two years? Unlikely.

The first I ever heard any talk of them trading him was approximately three weeks ago or whenever the Mosher thing first hit.
    Officially awaiting Douchebagnacht II since
    May 7, 2010

You can't honestly believe that, do you? They gave him 15 million in guarantees two years ago! You don't handle a player you're trying to trade by giving him a new contract. And one that makes it hard to deal him after two years.

This rumor that they've been trying to trade him for two years is the most egregious of the lies being printed right now.

It was the Kempski thing that started this firestorm, btw.

Relax with the FO-fluffer stuff - if anything I'm a CK fluffer on this decision.

If the Eagles really had the opinion of protecting other teams then they're foolish. Maybe that is their reason it just seems incredibly illogical. I doubt this is a Cris Carter situation.

The Eagles make decisions that people don't like but there is usually logic behind it so that they'll benefit in some way (financially, on the field, etc.) Protecting other teams and giving up draft picks doesn't fall in line with that.

Cutting him for reasons like money, locker room problems, off-field problems, not a fit for what Kelly wants to do, etc. fit those reasons.

I don't. So if he said that and I missed it please tell me and I'll say he's foolish.

He didn't. I'm pretty sure he laughed it off. I could be misremembering.

And how old were the players they dumped?
John Erlichman, one of President Richard Nixon's closest aides, has admitted America's "War on Drugs" was a hoax designed to vilify and disrupt "the antiwar left and black people" when it was launched in 1971.
