I watched the entire interview.

He said Jackson did not ask for a new contract, which has nothing to do with whether the Eagles viewed the current contract not worth the headache or whether teams wanted to trade for it.

I apologize. You're right. Chip didn't say he was okay with contract. He said Jackson was okay with the contract. The reporter drew the conclusion from Kelly's comment. Of course Kelly didn't say he wasn't happy with the contract which certainly would have cleared things up.
