However, unlike some of you, I can't just brush it off as an insignificant signing by Washington. I think that RG3 and D-Jax would be a formidable duo for the forseeable future, and I hope that Chip has plans to beef up this secondary to deal with that twice a year.

I can't see it due to salary cap reasons. He won't sign with them, they don't have enough money. The only way this can happen is if the market is very weak for him and the $$ is there somewhere else or Jackson takes less to play the Eagles twice and year and try to punish them for releasing him. Oakland has plenty of cap space and have done very little during FA this year. Jackson would represent the splash they need.Canada is like a really nice apartment over a meth lab.

Reminds me of the fear some fans had when Owens went to Dallas to try to stick it to Reid. He may have led Dallas is recieving but they went nowhere. Lost the division to an Eagles sweep in 06, won the division and then became the first NFC top seed to lose their first playoff game since the expansion of the playoff field, then the Eagles killed them in his last year eliminating them from the playoffs with that 44-6 romp.
You could probably add the fear fans had when McNabb got traded there as well. I remember posters here wondered what McNabb could do with a "real coach like Shanahan"--well everyone found out.
First game isn't even till September.
Plus, don't you think the Eagles learned a bit or two to slow him down? I mean, had it not been for the Saints DB getting a concussion, he would have finished the playoff game with zero receptions. Anyone--and I'm talking about Dallas 3 times in 2009, plus the Raiders and Chargers that year, to Green Bay twice--once in the playoffs in '10, plus Chicago in '10--that had success against the Eagles played a safety over the top and bumped him at the line.Last edited by bobbyuk; 03-31-2014, 09:02 AM.

My main concern...
From a Skins fan perspective, is how Gruden deals with him. We know the kind of attitude/leadership Jon Gruden provided, but really know nothing about Jay Gruden, when he's in a full leadership role.
I'd actually be less worried about a Jackson signing if Shanahan was the coach. Not that I wanted Shanahan back after last season, but at least you'd know going in that Shanahan would sit his ass for any reason and stick to his guns. I worry about Gruden letting Jackson do whatever he wants if he's a "player's coach."
That being said, if it works out, great. The Skins haven't had a real deep threat in awhile and Jackson would give us that dimension. It's unbelievable that I'm typing this, but if he wants a big payday, I don't think the Skins have the space to accommodate him, and even more amazingly, might not be willing to negotiate much. Quite a difference from the Haynesworth days.

Im not so sure
I've been listening to DC radio all morning, DJ isn't arriving until tonight and
$$$ could be a real sticking point. Skins have about 7 million to spare and the local reporters who claim to know about DJ imply money is a huge issue for him."I feel much better now that my pants are on."- overheard conversation at a Gayte

For free agents pickups you lose two rounds behind the projected draft position - that may change this year though.--
