  • Eagles had made the decision prior to gang stuff

...and given Kelly's dissembling on the subject, probably well prior to that. So to see the timing with the gang report as coincidental or to say that DJax didn't want to play with the team any more is really disingenuous. At best they waited for the report to come out and cut him forty minutes later as a smear.

The Eagles did what they wanted and timed it in a cynical way. Crazy.

If they don't get out in front of this they'll look even worse than they actually are, and they are pretty bad.

Adam Schefter was on DC local radio

saying that jettisoning Jackson was in the works as soon as the season was over.

It was why they were so quick/agressive to get Maclin and Cooper resigned and why they went after Sproles, all of it was a step by step process setting up for his release.

I agree if the NJ article was orchestrated by the FO and there is nothing to it, that's pretty damn weak.

You could be right, they did jump on Mac/Coop real quick with new contracts to make sure they had at least two good receivers

Does it really surprise anyone that......

....this kind of thing could happen when there are millions of dollars at stake? Like I said last week, most car salesmen would wh*re out their mother just to make $1K. Nothing shocking and I wouldn't put anything past the Eagles. (or any other football team)

If they get a speed player to replace him and/or win, no one will give a flying fat fuck ... except maybe your faux bro, Fredo the Panderer.

Now you can get back to suggestions that people who see possible coincidences as ... well, possible coincidences ... are dishonest.

Basically sums up my thoughts as well.

They wanted to cut him for a football reason(s) that appear to be one or more of the following:
            - Chip didn't like him
            - Chip doesn't value his best attributes as a player
            - DJ didn't buy into team concepts
            - Chip wanted to make an example to the rest of the team

Whatever the real reason was, it seems clear that it was Chip's decision based on his view of the team.

Why they allowed (at best) that decision to coincide with multiple "character reports" in the media or conducted a smear campaign (at worst) is beyond me.

Why not just say, "he didn't fit our view of team philosophy, he didn't represent what we're looking for on the field, and he was going to be very expensive, so we went in a different direction."

A.S. claimed they wanted to get those two on board because they knew Chips system, then they targeted Sproles.

When those pieces were in place, it was time to get rid of DJax.

It was a very premeditated thing which fits CKs MO from my point of view.

                When Jimmy Johnson cut players

[When he was coaching the Cowboys, it was clearly to send a message. But he never cut Michael Irvin, if you know what I'm saying.

Even FF cut George Hegamin after humiliating him. He cut a LB who had a knee injury saying he did an "average job of rehabilitating." Can't remember his name.

                      There is no gang stuff

They have nothing to prove that, and I will continue to say that until the FO proves me wrong. They haven't even come close to proving that DeSean was or is affiliated with any gangs. Smear.

He flashed a known crip sign during a game last year

I think that should tell you something....that is if you want to listen which you prolly don't when it comes to your favorite former Eagles player. I love how DeAngelo Hall talked mess about him after that game where he flashed the gang sign and once he was about to sign made him out to be a model player in interviews...what a piece of shit. There is no smear here besides the pap smear appointment you missed earlier.

Actual CONCRETE proof that DeSean is a gang member ? No. They don't.

In Chip's case: if you're gonna have the balls to cut one of your top 3 weapons, why not have the balls to come out and say so?

The smear campaign costs him credibility IMO.

Nail on the head. What are they waiting for. You tough enough to cut him, but too much of a punk to say why ?
